Apple iPhone 5 Features & Release Date

0 comentarios
AppId is over the quota

As the 5th generation of the iPhone is on the verge of being released, and with all the speculations spreading on the Internet about the iPhone 5, people are anticipating and desperately waiting for the launch of the smartphone. Many fans and current Apple iPhone consumers are wondering what groundbreaking features Apple will add to the new iPhone 5.

This articles summarizes the various features and specifications that are expected to sport the device.

Although Apple does not reveal the exact specifications and features until the device is officially unveiled, we could dictate some of the main features that are expected. However, rumor of the new iPhone 5 features, in terms of both hardware and software upgrades, will definitely entice any smartphone buyer.

The upcoming phone is expected to sport the Apple’s latest and greatest A5 processor chip, iCloud service, higher-resolution camera, and a 4-inch screen size. Here are some of the most anticipated iPhone 5 features:

Apple announced iOS 5.0 and its features during the WWDC 2011 keynote address on June 6, 2011. The user interface is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. It is expected to come with more than 200 new features that will include improved Notification System, News Stand and iMessage.

iMessage is an application that is developed to compete with Blackberry Messenger. The app will allow iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad users to communicate (much like a chat service) with each other. The iMessage feature has been integrated into the SMS/MMS application used originally on the iPhone models.

iPhone 5

The iPhone5 is expected to have the iCloud service.

Apple’s iPhone 5 is expected to feature the new iCloud service for wireless remote access of music from all computers and mobile devices.

The iPhone5 will automatically sync with the iCloud which will allow users to store photos, apps, calendars and documents without having them to store in the phone’s memory. Apple is also looking to tie up with top music label companies to license songs for the iCloud service.

However, rumours state that Apple might release a low-cost “iCloud iPhone” alongside the iPhone 5. It could be named the “iPhone Mini”

“The iPhone Mini (or iPhone Nano, or whatever) could have significantly less storage than a typical iPhone. Most likely 8 gigabytes of storage – the same as the lowest end iPhones right now. Apple won’t prevent users from storing their own content, because that would be crazy. But since it has a small amount of memory, Apple will likely push the ability to stream media via MobileMe as well.”

iPhone 5 will house the A5 as the main processor, which technically is the same chip that currently powers the iPad 2. The A5 contains a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU with NEON SIMD accelerator and a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU, which means that the iPhone5 can do twice the work at once. The processor speed will be somewhere between 1.2 to 1.5 GHz, with probably a 1GB RAM.

The processor upgrade is done not just to increase the processing speed of the phone, but also to compete with the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S II.

The A5 chip might effectively increase the power use, however, it is said that the chip has “got a dynamic power management”, which can lower the [speed] depending on the workload, and thus efficiently make use of the power.

The iPhone 4 sports a 5 megapixel camera, so I’m expecting that the iPhone 5 will have a rear-facing 8MP dual-LED flash camera. However, this isn’t really “awesome”, since most of the high-end Android smartphones come with an 8MP camera. Along with that, the iPhone 5 is expected to have a front-facing camera for video chatting.
iPhone FeaturesAccording to sources, Apple has filed several patent applications relating to 3D picture capturing to the US Patent and Trademark Office later in March. This indicates that the iPhone 5 might feature a 3D camera. The filing indicates that the device will be capable of capturing, processing and rendering 3D images with dual-camera hardware.

Another interesting feature is that the iPhone 5 will be capable of taking pictures in Panorama. It will work similarly to the ’360 Panorama’ application in the App Store. It will let you take pictures in a sequence as you move the camera from one side to another, which in the end will effortlessly stitch the images together to create a panorama.

Additionally, if Apple really wants to keep up with the competition to Android, then it might consider improving upon the video resolution to a full 1080p HD recording. Currently iPhone 4 has a 720p video capture at 30 frames per second.

There hasn’t been a better screen resolution since the release of the iPhone 4. Currently the iPhone 4 has a 3.5 inches screen size, and sources indicate that Apple might stay locked with the current size. But a few other sources say that Apple is planning to increase the screen size to 4-inch with higher screen resolution. I feel that Apple could compromise at 3.7-inch or 3.75-inch.

However, the iPhone 5 could be slightly wider and thinner. The dimensions are calculated to be: 4.33? x 2.36? and .27? thickness at the top and .21? at the bottom, whereas the dimensions of iPhone 4 are: 4.5? x 2.31? x .37?

iPhone 5

Here are some of the other features that we can expect from the iPhone 5:

· Face Recognition Security· 4G/LTE support – According the AT&T documents leaked by LulzSec, the Apple iPhone 5 will offer 4G and will be LTE (Long Term Evolution) network compatible. LTE is a project of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), and is the latest standard in the mobile network technology.· A new, sleeker body design· OLED screen· Scratch proof and shatter proof screen· Wireless sync with iTunes· Extended battery life· Flash support· SIM-Less Phone – According to International Business Times, it is rumoured that the iPhone 5 will feature a new SIM-less design with 2 to 3 internal antennas for CDMA and GSM compatibility, which will make it a “worldphone”.· Physical Keyboard· Increased Ram (from 512MB to 1GB)· New Multi-tasking Look· HD Audio· Built In GPS

The above mentioned features are some of the improvements that we can expect from Apple. However, we cannot assure you that they can be true, but most of the upgrades are more likely to be utilized.

Apple definitely wants to fight back against Android smartphone makers like HTC and Samsung, and perhaps it is why the new iPhone 5 will host some of the outstanding features.

Apple follows a tradition to launch new devices in their summer Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), but that didn’t happen this year.

However, BGR reported that an AT&T Vice President has confirmed to several employees that the iPhone 5 that boasts a stronger chip for processing data and a more advanced camera is scheduled to be launched in early October. Additionally, the VP communicated the following to a group of managers: “Expect things to get really, really busy in the next 35-50 days, so prepare your teams accordingly.”

We can expect the announcement of the iPhone 5 in a late September event along with a release date set for early October.

The iPhone 4 has proven to be one of the most successful smartphones of all time with selling over 1.7 million devices in just three days of availability, and we are expecting that the iPhone 5 will certainly replicate this success, and one thing is for sure – the sales of iPhone 5 will definitely boom and we can expect a huge number of people lined up at Apple stores when the device is available for sale.

At this stage no official price has been unveiled but we expect the iPhone 5 to be the same price than the iPhone 4 when it was released. We will update this section as soon as we have more information on that topic.

What do you think of iPhone 5? Will you buy it? What additional iPhone 5 features are you expecting? Please let us know by leaving your comments below.

Laplink PCmover Software Review

0 comentarios
AppId is over the quota

Laplink PCmover is a Windows 7 upgrade assistant application that migrates all user programs, files and settings from an older version of Windows to the new version. The PCmover Pro is designed to be consumer friendly and extremely easy to use, so that the upgrade process is simplified for everyone.

PCmoverThere are completely different versions of PCmover to allow for varying upgrade situations ranging from home and personal use to business and enterprise edition upgrades. Obviously a business upgrade will involve multiple devices so the price is significantly higher.

The idea with the PCmover software is to directly migrate a user’s favorite applications and programs as well as custom user settings into the new operating system. As most people have a few programs and applications they can’t live without, Laplink’s goal was to make it easy for said consumers to upgrade without losing their preferences.

Some folks may be reluctant to try the migration so we’re going to review Laplink’s PC Mover software and decide if it’s worthy for use.

There are six different versions of the PCmover software all with varying settings and features, available starting from $29.95 for the standard Upgrade Assistant to $59.95 for the Professional version. Anyone interested in utilizing the Business and Enterprise edition must call Laplink customer support for a price quote.

Laplink PCmover Migration Software with Data Transfer KitUnfortunately the software requires a high speed data connection between the new and old PC, however this can be done through a simple network, network device or portable (external) storage device. The boxed copy of Laplink’s PC Mover software comes bundled with a high speed ethernet data transfer cable, but the digital version leaves consumers to fend for themselves; so only purchase the digital software if there’s already a method available to transfer data between PCs.

In our testing environment, migrating settings from an older Windows XP business laptop to a new Windows 7 home desktop, we were required to install the Laplink PC Mover software on both machines.

The user interface of PCmover is very simple, and will definitely be navigable for anyone- even those folks who know nothing about computers. Moving from step to step in the migration process simply required us to read through well defined instructions and perform a few simple button clicks (which for the most part only required us to choose “next”). Depending on the PC Mover version selected, users may also have to choose which programs they would like copied over to the new machine. In our case, we chose a few applications and programs we knew would copy over successfully.

Laplink PCmover Migration Software Application ChoiceThe general knowledge of what will copy over successfully is not required to take advantage of the PCmover software. The application itself gives a warning for select programs and applications that may have issues during the migration process. The few programs that cause issues during a transfer are namely Microsoft .net framework related files and DRM (Digital Rights Management) protected software. But most DRM protected files can be downloaded and installed directly to the new operating system via other methods, so there’s really nothing to worry about there.

The PCmover software provides several different options for actually migrating applications and transferring files (through a network, via portable media or an external storage device, through a high speed data transfer cable, or through a high speed USB 2.0 connection). We chose the option to migrate our “old” settings to our new machine via a home network, which in turn required us to choose which programs are transferred (not all software versions allow this selection process).

PCmoverAs you can see from the image on the left the file transfer is really quite simple, anyone can take advantage of the software- even those who aren’t computer savvy. It’s pretty much a three step process, install the application on both related machines, connect the PCs and make sure data is ready to be synchronized and then start the migration process.

To more specifically detail what types of files can be moved, we’ve compiled a small list of application types that copied over successfully during our testing session.

– Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint) copied over flawlessly as well as the individual settings.

– Personal files and documents copied over successfully with no problems whatsoever (Photos, Videos, Music, Podcasts).

– Several PC games we had installed copied over successfully, however games that require DRM protection methods must be installed locally on the new machine. The Steam game environment and all related games must also be downloaded locally via the new machine as a transfer via PCmover won’t work correctly.

– Financial and tax related software was copied successfully, including all user settings, information and related spreadsheets.

– Thankfully, all browser settings (including bookmarks and saved login information) were successfully copied to the new machine as well; we copied over settings from IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Rockmelt.

Upon completion of our system and application migration, we did not run into any further problems; which means the entire transfer was completely successful. That being said, we’ve had some experience with migration software in the past, so we had a basic understanding of what programs and applications could be trusted to PCmover for a migration. We didn’t directly attempt to copy any DRM protected files or information, nor did we copy anything that could be installed locally via the new machine thanks to a simple download.

Laplink PCmover Migration Software Transfer MethodsNonetheless, there really isn’t an alternative to Laplink’s PCmover software and Microsoft doesn’t offer native migration options when installing or upgrading to Windows 7 (they do somewhat but the migration is very limited). This doesn’t mean that the PCmover software would be at the bottom of the list if it were pitted against some competition; we’re just merely pointing out there are no other options.

Rightfully so, the PCmover migration software is perfect for a plethora of different users and working environments. Home and personal users looking to upgrade will enjoy the personal file and settings migration as well as the migration of some favorite applications and programs. Business and Enterprise users will likely enjoy the migration of important business software and platforms, as well as the migration of important network and connection settings.

All in all, the Laplink PCmover migration software saves a lot of time, and can subsequently transfer over important information to a new PC with little to no hassle. In fact, if we would have known an upgrade could be this simple thanks to PCmover we probably would have taken the dive a lot sooner.

To elaborate even further, it’s safe to say for those few users out there who have been waiting to upgrade because it can be a hassle, PCmover software is what you need! The Laplink PCmover software is simple, intuitive, and it really doesn’t cause an even bigger hassle during the migration process (which in this day and age is truly a revered feature).

The cheapest place we found for buying PCmover is the official PCmover site. There is no other place you should go to get it. Click here to choose the version you want and order it now!

Move selected data from an old PC to a new one!

YouTube añade opción de editar y agregar efectos a videos

0 comentarios

Apple iPad 3 Features & Release Date

0 comentarios
AppId is over the quota

The Apple iPad is one of the best-selling tablets in the world, and the iPad 3 is one of the most anticipated devices from Apple this year. This article explains you about the new features that are to be included in the iPad 3.

In a nutshell, the Apple iPad3 will feature a new, thinner and sleeker design, down nearly 20 percent in size compared to the iPad 2. It will also support full touchscreen HD display with a screen resolution of 2048 x 1536.

Apart from that, the iPad 3 will have a lighter battery life, reducing the weight of the tablet. However, the battery is reported to cost 20 to 30 percent more than the current iPad’s battery, which will also have a longer battery life.

It is also expected that the iPad 3 will have a wireless charging technology, which will be able to charge the battery and transfer data wirelessly.

Let’s now take a look at all the features in depth:

The current Apple iPad 2 has a 900MHz dual-core ARM Cortext-A9 processor, Apple A5 chipset and PowerVr SGX543MP2 GPU. This certainly made the Apple iPad 2 a powerful tablet and a main competitor in the world of tablets. Now Apple is aiming to make the competition tougher by sporting an A6 Quad-core Processor in the iPad 3. This would make the iPad 3 as powerful as any high-end desktop.

According to Linley Group senior analyst Kevin Krewell, “We expect the A6 will be a quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 design, which would be competitive with next year’s best mobile processors. In 2012, Nvidia will offer a quad-core Cortex-A9 processor, and Qualcomm will have the aforementioned MSM8960, a dual-core A15-class processor operating at 1.7GHz. Fabricating Apple’s A6 in 28nm (instead of the 40nm process Nvidia is using for its quad-core part) will reduce both die cost and power, yielding a much better product.”

The iPad 3 will come with the latest iOS 5, which will host the multi-touch gesture technology. However, analyst and tech enthusiasts predict that Apple would introduce OS X Lion for the tablet, since it will be powered by a quad-core processor.

This will also include multitasking features, such as notifications, task-finishing, app-switching, location and background sound.

Apple enthusiast expected the Retina Display feature on Apple iPad 2; however, Apple has been working majorly for an improvised version of it to include it in the iPad 3. The iPhone 4 currently supports the Retina Display with a screen resolution of 960 x 640. Apple explains Retina Display as: “Developing pixels a mere 78 micrometers wide, Apple engineers were able to pack four times the number of pixels into the same 3.5-inch (diagonal) screen found on earlier iPhone models. The resulting pixel density of iPhone 4 – 326 pixels per inch – makes text and graphics look smooth and continuous at any size.”

With the Retina Display feature, the screen resolution of the iPad3 will be 2048 x 1536 pixels. However, it is said that the third version of the tablet is delayed due to Retina Display issues, and Apple is expected to ship the tablet in early 2012.

There are speculations that the tablet will display the 3D view. Although it’s too early to expect features like 3D display, devices like the LG Optimus can record videos in 3D, and output the same through HDMI.

Apple announced its Cloud services during the WWDC 2011, and will definitely include the iCloud technology both in the iPhone 5 and iPad 3. With iCloud users can store photos, apps, calendars and access songs on iTunes without having them to store in the phone’s memory.

The iPad 3 will come with an improvised camera, since the previous version of the table didn’t seem impressive enough. Unlike the iPad 2, the new tablet will come with LED flash to support the camera. It is expected to have a 5MP camera with 1080p or 720p video recording quality of 60 frames per second. The technology made by OmniVision will help reduce the size of the table by 20 percent.

Apple has already been granted patents on this technology, and is working real hard to make the iPad3 fingerprint proof. The touch screen will be coated with oleophobic materials, which will reduce the oil and fingerprints on the screen.

iPad 3 Features

There isn’t any official word from Apple on when the iPad 3 will be released; however, rumors indicate that it will be announced sometime early next year. Reports state the trial production is likely to start this October. One of the major reasons why the launch of the device has delayed is due to the Retina Display technology. It is also said that it could be delayed because of legal issues with one of Apple’s main supplier, Samsung.

The price and availability of the iPad 3 is still unknown. Please make sure that you keep visiting this page to stay updated.

Though the tablet promises quite a lot of new and exciting features, rumors indicate that it could be priced at a very high range. However, with the competition kicking in, I expect that the iPad 3 will be set at a reasonable price. Nevertheless, are you going to buy the new iPad 3? And what other iPad 3 features are you expecting? Let us know by adding your views below.
